Media
Over the years I’ve contributed to a wide range of national media, sharing practical, evidence-based insights on nutrition, gut health, and joyful eating. This page brings together some of my broadcast, print, and high-profile media campaign work.

High-profile national media campaign
Alcohol research, Public Health Scotland
As a senior researcher at Public Health Scotland (Scotland’s lead agency for public health), my work on alcohol revealed that Scots were drinking twice what we thought – twice the amount our national surveys suggested. The findings helped shape bold new Scottish Government policy (later adopted elsewhere) and triggered international improvements in survey methodology.
The resulting media campaign (which I worked on hand-in-glove with the communications team) made front-page news and prime-time national TV and radio (the 6pm TV news and 8am radio), equivalent to an advertising spend of £150,000 today – the highest reach the organisation had ever achieved.
